The Chief (5.5), is a traditional rock climbing route that is located in Joshua Tree National Park. It is a great climb for the grade. It’s easy to protect, the rock is featured, and the climbing is fun! In my opinion, this route is one of the best beginner trad climbs in Joshua Tree National Park.

The video provides a visual of the route and also provides useful approach and descent beta. If you have any questions, feel free to comment. I love engaging with people about their adventures!
